Do you have valuable old photographs or documents that you would like to save?  Our library, through the Arrowhead Library System, has borrowed a Scan for Keeps kit from the Minnesota Digital Library.

Library staff will be available to scan and save your images for you.  All you need to do is sign up for a one-hour time slot, bring in your photos or documents, and have a thumb drive to save the images on.  The kit will be at the library from October 7 through the 11.

The Minnesota Digital Library was created for the preservation of local history in the form of photographs, letters, newspaper articles, booklets, and other printed artifacts.  Those items are then made available to the public electronically on the Minnesota Reflections page.  The Minnesota Digital Library is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund of the Minnesota Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution via the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS). Additional funding is provided by Minitex.

For more information on the Minnesota Digital Library or to reserve a time slot, visit the library or call us at 748-7525.
