May Events at the Virginia Public Library

We have two lovely Legacy programs visiting the library in May. Here are some details about each of them:

Animal Tales of How & Why with Rose Arrowsmith

May 3rd at noon

This event features storyteller Rose Arrowsmith who will be sharing stories about animal tales. These stories will feature topics like “How did the turtle get cracks is his shell?” and “Why do bears hibernate in the winter?” Rose’s storytelling event is suitable for all ages, but focused for children 5-10 years of age. We hope to see the storytime crowd at this event!

The Making of Root Beer Lady: The Musical with Barbara Cary Hall

May 17th at noon

Barbara Cary Hall will be visiting the library to explain the journey of creating the vision of a musical, the process involved, and how it came to pass. Barbara will be sharing the musical story through pictures, words and songs! Adults and children 10 years and up will enjoy this local and music-filled event.
