Winter Reading 2019: Curl Up with a Good Book

Winter is here, and with it the Virginia Public Library Winter Reading Challenge! This year, our Winter Reading Challenge includes people of all ages – from infants to 100 year-olds! All you have to do is read books between January 1st and March 2nd to win awesome prizes at the library!

Being part of the Winter Reading Challenge is easy: Come in to the library to sign up, or sign up online by clicking the penguin button above. Then log the minutes you’ve read online, and come in to the library to receive your prizes!

Children can earn a badge for every hour they read – and by reading 6 hours they can earn all the potential prizes from the library! For each badge they will also be creating a art project at the library by building a snowman piece by piece. Kids also can earn a winter animal button for completing the reading challenge (by reading and logging 6 hours).

Questions about how to join? Talk to a librarian at the Virginia Public Library!
