The Virginia Public Library welcomes the help of Teen Volunteers with a variety of volunteer opportunities for students aged 13 to 17.

Application period opens: Wednesday, April 1, 2026

Final submission deadline: Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

Applicant interviews: Applicant interviews: Thursday, May 7, 2026 & Friday, May 8, 2026

Teen Volunteer Orientation will take place Tuesday & Wednesday, May 19 & 20th from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Candidates will be considered based on prior experience, qualifications, and compatibility with Library schedule and needs.

All Teen Volunteers are expected to adhere to the Teen Volunteer Code of Conduct and Discipline Policy.
